Friends, Family and Forgiveness
Mindful Practices for Peaceful Relationships
We depend on our closest relationships for a feeling of safety, nurture, connection, and belonging. But what happens when there is a rupture, a betrayal of our trust, or a strong difference of opinion that seems to threaten our values?
Our world is suffering from divisions and polarizations that can seem impossible to resolve. They are keeping us from understanding our belonging to each other. The consequences are dire for all species.
Mindfulness practice can help us do the fierce inner work necessary to bring our own hearts to peace, and be a healing force of forgiveness in our trembling and traumatized world.
You are invited to join us for a day of mindfulness, healing and creative community at Tikkun Eco Center.

In our next day of mindfulness at Tikkun we will explore the art and skill of forgiveness; what it is and what it is not, how to begin it and what gets in our way, its many benefits to our well-being, and the true cost of avoiding it.
Long-standing and close relationships require of us the ability to forgive one another —and ourselves — again and again. This can feel impossible at times, even when we want to! It is good to know that forgiveness is a process, certainly not a one and done.
In this retreat you will be guided to:
Identify habitual reactions and coping strategies that perpetuate disconnection from ourselves and each other, making it harder to forgive.
Explore how inner conflicts show up in your body and learn mindfulness techniques to reduce anxiety, balance your nervous system, and restore your capacity to connect authentically.
Develop the compassionate curiosity necessary to explore your own conflicts, resentments, fears, and losses, mindfully, and discover what's possible when you have the freedom of heart to forgive.
Relax into silence, guided meditation, and group conversation as you prepare the ground for forgiveness, and open to greater peace and possibility.
Plus, enjoy spacious time to soothe your senses:
Energize and rejuvenate with mindful movement under the trees.
Calm your body-mind in the thermal waters of our meditation pool.
Nourish yourself with a lovingly prepared vegetarian meal.
